Alanis Silver and Lace Cuff Bracelet

  • $ 1,10000

This large sterling silver cuff designed by Monika Knutsson is handcrafted from 1930s French Cotton bobbin lace with geometric pattern, then dipped in sterling silver. It is an Art Deco style cuff with picot edges.

The cuff is 3-1/4 inches tall, fits a wrist 5-3/4 to 6-1/4 inches. Please custom order for smaller or larger wrist sizes.

The process of handcrafting Gilded Lace jewelry is effort and time-intensive. First, the lace is cut with precision. The edges are sealed by hand-sewing on ribbons. Then the lace is sealed and shaped by dipping it into lacquer and molding it (e.g., around a drinking glass for cuff bracelet designs) to its final shape.

After a dip in a bath of either sterling silver or 24K gold, The jewelry is filed by hand. Every hold is carefully smoothed to ensure a comfortable fit and that the lace pattern is clearly visible down to the finest detail. The jewelry is then shined and ready to wear.

All Gilded Lace Jewelry by Monika Knutsson is made in limited editions, signed, numbered and handcrafted in the U.S.A.
